100x100/2: Posture

Whatever you believe about singing, don’t let it corrupt a balanced, lengthening posture.

Your posture, before breath, during breath, during every point of your singing, and at offset, is crucial to your ability and your quality.

Head leading lengthening spine, feet grounded: feel is buoyant, poised, ready.

Breath techniques often misunderstood, and so posture spoilt: stomach pushed out, shoulders rounded, chest collapsed. All make singing worse.

Noble sternum, long back of neck, always.

Excess demonstration of emotion spoils: mustn’t. Keep poise.

Quality sound, vibrant with core, fundamentally dependent on connected posture, inimitable.

Whatever you believe, posture crucial to quality singing.
